new song, Silence of my Heart (Gate', gate')
Hello everyone, I wanted to share a new song with you, Silence of my Heart (Gate', gate'). This song is tangentially inspired by the Buddha's Heart Sutra. Here are the lyrics and a link to listen to the song as well as purchase the mp3 for .99 cents if you are inspired by it.
Love, Richard
Love, Richard
I'm gonna listen, listen, in-between my worrying
Listen, listen, to the silence of my heart
I'm gonna listen, la la la listen, in-between all of my thinking
Listen, listen
Spending all these hours in my mental towers
A prisoner to my own mind
I was burdened my yesterdays, and everything was such a haze
And to the present moment I was blind
Gotta take a break before I speak
Gotta take a break before I react
Gotta listen to my heart
I'm gonna listen, listen, in-between my paths of seeking
Listen, listen, to the silence of my heart
I'm gonna listen, la la la listen, to the space in-between the words we're speaking
The words we're speaking
Gotta take a break before I speak, before I react
I'm gonna listen to my heart
Gotta take a break before I leap, before I attack
I'm gonna listen to my heart
Gotta take a break before I break down, yeah before I crack
I'm gonna listen to my heart
Gaté,
gaté,
paragaté,
parasamgaté.
Bodhi!
Svaha!
I'm gonna listen, listen, to the quiet stillness of the inner-ocean
I'm gonna listen, la la listen
I'm gonna listen, listen, letting love guide my heart in devotion
Listen, listen

In the present IS the present
In the present IS the present. Is that not amazing and just too simple? We are either aware that we are here now, or, we are identifying ourselves in the reflections of our stories. We are either of Heaven or we are in Hell. So yes, stories are fun, just as long as we remember that they are only stories so we don't lose our way.

Have fun with your creativity
Have fun with your creativity
so that you don't become too structured within it.
Each moment is new and fresh,
and so should our creative expression now
BE.

We don't realize the present until we stop measuring it.
We cannot even count the grains of sand in a small box because of the sheer multiplicity. So how can we measure all of creation? Simply, we can't, and only the ego attempts to foolishly do so. This is a clear message from nature to let this be and just enjoy it.
When we categorize life as parts we don't experience the whole, only the parts.
We won't realize the present moment until we stop measuring it.

Gratitude is the Architect of Peace
Gratitude is the architect of peace.
Pause before you are about to complain, or while you are complaining
so that the presence of gratitude may be experienced.
A grateful human is an unbound heart.

Mother Earth needs our compassion
Mother Earth needs our compassion.
We pray for help, waiting and waiting or we can BE the help now.
Being in the mind there are endless time dimensions.
But God is here now.
We are here now.
Life is happening now.
Love is here AS us all now.
What is convincing you that you are not here?
Examine that.
It requires no mental story to be compassionate, only a grateful heart.
Stop giving away your power and BE compassion.
